Batch files
Is there a list of commands for batch files somewhere on the net?
The reason I ask? I want to make one which runs a program which needs a few seconds to do its business. So I want the batch job to wait about 10 seconds before doing the next thing. Thanks,

Here's a site that I've referenced a few times when writing batch files. It has some good information.

Thanks for the link Cowboy, it is brilliant
And it has exactly what I need in the form of PMSLEEP.BAT A batch file which can be called in order to make the computer wait for a variable amount of seconds before performing the next function Superb, Thanks again Jim |

I feel really clever all of a sudden. I am running the RC5-64 distributed.net project to try and get some money for myself and for PCMech
I only want to run the RC5-64 project so never want it to run out of work units So I made a batchfile which renamed the work units file, restarted the agent to get more work units, waited five seconds for it to get the units, then renamed this file etc etc (50 times) Then I got the batch job to import all of the old files into a new work units file. The result: 50 times more work units (and 50 more than this if I run the job again) and a very happy Jim Thanks again for the link, Jim |
