A simple question

I have recently licensed a product to use freely but the product has been personalized by the author who made it. He told me he would recompile it so instead of saying So n so on the title bar it would say whatever i would like. He also said he would change the exe icon for me; well whenever i get in touch w/ him he never has time. Is there anyway i could do this myself? I know nothing about programming.

I don't know much about about programming either but i'm thinking he has already answered your question. I could be wrong, maybe you have you're agreement notarized in front of witnesses and what not ( workmen is due his wage!

You would need the original code from him, and a compiler and some programming knowledge, so a simple answer to your simple question is your will pretty much have to wait till he's ready! Even if he gave you the source code and you got a compiler, you would look at the source code and think your reading Japeneese or something. He would still have to direct you what changes to make and you then have to recompile, although if it's just changing a name and an icon you may actually be able to just figure that out. If you bought the liscense I would think he should give you the source code too!

See if you can get the source code and then everyone here can help you make those changes. Regardless of the language it shouldn't be difficult to make those changes.

no no no you can do it yourself I do it all the time can you post the attachment ill have a look at it come on guys your smarter than that didnt you know you could do it yourself and it usally only takes a few minutes
