Perl - Console Input - Help Wanted
Howdy
I am picking up some Perl for the first time so I have heaps to learn. At the moment I just want to know how to input lines of data from the keyboard and write these to a file. I have been trying to put STDIN into a scalar like $data and then print to a file but it don't work. Is input in Perl only from a file ? So far STDIN only seems to feed my console data to the DOS shell and nothing goes to my data file. I guess I'm a Perl newbie so I need help. Any ideas appreciated. Thanks The Web Gecko |
