Error intalling VB6 Pro in Win XP home. HELP!

I keep getting an error when trying to install VB6 Pro on
my Windows XP home; I have tried several things, not sure
what else to try. It doesn't really give a clear error
message, just the general Microsoft message; the details
mention the ACMSETUP.EXE file in module oleaut32.dll. I
have a log file of the install and the last lines are as
follows:

"Object 811 - RegisterTypeLibrary - called
Registration of type library C:\Program Files\Microsoft
Visual Studio\VB98\VBDATAVW.TLB succeeded
return
Object 815 - RegisterTypeLibrary - called"

I would really appreciate any help with this....I am about
to give up....

I don't think you can install the development tools under XP Home, I think you need Pro to run them. I know you need Pro to install all the .NET development tools, dunno about 6.0.
