Flash loading...

I've been working with Macromedia Flash for a while to make movies and menus for web sites. A lot of web sites that use Flash will have the loading... screen at the beginning of the file, conting the percentage loaded. I am wondering how this is done? Is it from some code within the movie, or is it a server/web command.

If anyone knows how to do this it would be great.

Hi, I am a flasher too!
I make cartoons and submit them to www.newgrounds.com
Preloader is a very hard thing for many people to master. I still don't know how to do it, but when I followed a couple of tutorials on the internet I got it done right. Not all of them are useful though, so you need to read more than one.
The most effective way would be to search in www.google.com for "flash preloader" and something will turn up. There is a code you need to enter into the frame. That code is a command to wait for the animation to load. But it's the one that doesn't show the percentage. I am sure there are also plug ins that you put into your flash software.

www.flashkit.com is a very good site for info.
