Visual Studio .NET System Requirements

Simple question: will VS.NET work on Windows XP Home? M$ says yes for the most part, but other sources say it will only work on XP Pro. Does anybody have any experience with using Visual Studion on a PC with XP Home?

Official word from MS, at least at one time, was "No." Not sure if it can be MacGyvered to work on XP home or not... I run it on Pro.

Here's what M$ says:

http://msdn.microsoft.com/vstudio/pr...qs/default.asp

But it is comments like yours that make me wonder. I would be interested in hearing from somebody who actually runs Visual Studio on XP Home.

Thanks for the info, eko976. Is there any loss of functionality on XP Home?
