share.exe

Is there any way of getting share.exe located in C:\WINNT\system32 on a Windows 2000 Pro machine to load and stay resident. We have an old app that we need to use but when we try and run it we get the message "Launcher requires SHARE to be loaded before running and cannot continue".

Can we use a version of SHARE from a Win95 machine or am I on the wrong path altogether.

If I go to a command prompt, navigate to system32 and run the following command "share.exe /f:4096 /l:25" I receive no errors within the command window but the app still will not load.

All comments and suggestions welcome.
