question about visual studio.net?

hei guys i currenlty trying to install visual studio.net in my Window ME machine but somehow it won't let me install. what is the first step i should do to install it. i am clueness about that, i instll VisualStudio.net in my laptop i have no problem. but when i install Visual Studio.net in my Desktop which running Window Me. it won't let me install. what necessary steps i need to do to install that

I am pretty sure you need either Win2K or WinXP to install it. WinME won't cut it.

doctorgonzo is right...MSVS will only run on the 2K or the XP OS. The newest version of VS will only run on the XP exclusively.
