driver development - graphics cards
Hello ever one!
I am interested in becomming a driver developer for graphics cards, where do i start? what programming language should i learn? should i registar with the manufactures as a developer eg ati, nvidia are there open source code available any help would be appreciated, i love you all! g |

Assembly (x86) and C are probably what you want to learn. Graphics programming is probably one of the most difficult programming you can do. You have to be really good at Analytical Geometry and abstract concepts to really understand what's going on. I don't know much about actualy drivers, but www.google.com is your friend. I'm sure you could find some examples although I warn you, graphics are at the deep-end of the programmer's swimming pool. If you think you are at that level, good luck! Otherwise I'd definately take a few steps back and learn the basics first.
