this is where I learned html from: http://www.davesite.com/webstation/html/
it works well, and it goes slowly enough to understand everything before moving on to new concepts. |

Go to www.barnesandnoble.com. They have a great Online University section with courses on a broad range of subjects, including web development. A good number of these courses are free, and there are premier courses that you can pay for. I've taken a free Photoshop class a long time ago, and I think the quality of the course is very good for beginners.

I would try the book, Landscapes and Cityscapes. It shows you how to edit Digital Photography using photoshop. I learned a lot just from this.

I like and highly recommend http://webmonkey.com - I learned the basics of html on their tutorial in one (very long) night about 5 years ago, and now it's what I do for a living... I know they have a bunch of tutorials for scripting languages, but I'm not sure about programs. Good luck!

ok look everything in web design is basically done in tables. first design it in an image program then cut it up into sections. put those images as backgrounds or pictures in table cells and basically peice it back together...
