printing page contents

how do i print the contents of a web page without it adding the title and "page 1 of 1" on the top of the printed sheet,
and the URL and the date to the bottom.

can javascript window.print() be tailored to get rid of this??

also the table i have created on this page has precise measurements and seems correct size on the screen, but is printed smaller on paper!!! any ideas??

Printing is still not great on web pages. It is better using CSS and JS. There is no way that I know of to print a webpage and remove the headers and footers from the page.
