good software choice?
Hey guys,

That depends on what you want to do with it. I don't know a lot about that product, but it certainly looks like it is derived from BASIC. That doesn't make it a bad language, just a language that isn't used very often. I am sure it is easier to get the framework of a game up and running than, say, using C++ and OpenGL/DirectX. However, the latter is how games are made these days, so if you want to seriously get into programming you should go that route. If you are just fooling around, then buy that software.

i am just playing around, for now. I am trying to learn C++ and saw this software. It is supposed to be based in BASIC and mixed with DX. I think i am going to get it and try it out, and move into pure DX later.
