Does anyone know where I can download GCC (C compiler) for a windows-based platform? I am running XP Pro.

I think if the file's extension is .c and not .cpp, running the gcc command will automatically call gcc c compiler, at leats this is the case under Linux.

If you want to know about command line switches that control gcc options, go here: http://gcc.gnu.org/onlinedocs/

As doobie said, just download Dev-C++. You don't have to use the IDE, you can just use gcc.
