Problems with IE Explorer

I'm running windows XP and am having intense problems. Everytime I use explorer to browse the internet... it goes unresponsive after maybe 2 pages. Then my mouse will start going very slow and everything on the computer becomes quite unresponsive. I don't know how to fix this problem. My computer is relatively fast so there has to be a problem. Please help.

Have you tried using an alternate browser (like firefox)? Does that work?

Also try scanning for spyware, and viruses. And have you cleaned out your cookies and temporary internet files lately?

Spybot search and destroy is good, you can download it at http://download.com.com/3000-8022-10122137.html

I use Adaware, as well as Spybot S&D. I use both because usually one catches a few things the other doesn't.

if it still doesn't work, you can always reinstall IE, also try antivirus software.

Pegasus is an e-mail client, not a web browser.
