Virus info

Does anyone know of a virus that would set the virtual memory very low?

Or how to set the virtual memory higher from DOS?

Or last, how to scan an NTFS drive from DOS?

DOS uses something different than Windows virtual memory but what do you want to scan from DOS? If you just want to view files, try recovery console or Knoppix.

No I had a problem, I think a virus, where the virtual memory was seriously decreased so windows basically stalls on login screen. And I cant get into windows to fix it. Even from safe mode would be good.

I've been able to log on w/ no V-Mem. Might want to try a repair install to fix settings while keeping your files intacked. Sounds like the problem may lie elsewhere.
