GPEDIT.MSC does anyone know about what this does
Does anyone know of a good article explaining exactly what settings in GPEDIT.MSC do, because I was dabbling with it seeing if I could find an answer to Hi Ho's question, see thread in link below:
http://forum.pcmech.com/showthread.p...hreadid=100022 Like I said, i've had a bit of a fiddle but I want some more information so I can get more familiar with what the restriction settings do. Thanks in advance

Also, does anyone know of any other things like that above that allow you to edit security policies and change restrictions (for certain user accounts only)
By the way I'm using XP Professional (with SP1) |

gpedit.msc is the an MMC to control Group Policy on a Windows XP system. Mind you, it will not work with Hi Ho's situation because XP home does not ship with it.
To learn more about the gpeditor: http://www.microsoft.com/Windows2000...t/rbppaper.asp its a good read. |
