XP prioties

Hi i heard that games and other applications can be speeded up if u set there prioritie to low or lowest in XP is this truw and if it is does this really make much of an overall difference?

Priorities determine how many CPU cycles a program gets relative to other programs. The higher priority it is, the more cycles it gets. Setting a game to a lower priority would make it go slower, not faster. Generally, it is best not to screw around with priorities unless you have a specific need, since adjusting the priority of one program may adversely affect all the other programs currently running.
