HELP No repair on xp disc
I've gone to repair windows xp from the cd, but when i hit r for repair it goes to recovery console then a dos screen,or if i hit enter then f8 to agree it goes to a format screen but no repair,help i don't want to reformat.

Their are two ways to repair. You found one. The other is in the new installation area. Rather that chose the repair option and get the recovery console, chose new install. XP will see the existing installation and you chose repair as opposed to format and install.
