Spool32 error in unknown
I am running Win ME and this error (Spool 32 error in unknown. Spool32 will now close) has begun to pop up now and then. I know the obvious answer is to get XP but that is not an option at this time so can any one tell me what the error means and what it might Affect and of course what to do about it.
Thanks for any help given. Jerry

Often you can solve this by changing a setting in the driver for your scanner or printer - whichever is the culprit causing the error. Normally this sort of thing pops up when using those devices. Uninstalling and then reinstalling the device, and possibly updating the drivers, are also something you can try.
Does the error usually happen when you are trying to print or scan something? [If you happen to use a Canon combo device (printer/scanner) - there's a setting mentioned over at the Microsoft site http://support.microsoft.com/default...;EN-US;Q190825 ] . . . Gary |

Thank you for your reply. I did, untill recently, have an HP 4 in 1 on this computer but not now and I haven't done any thing with the drivers so that could be the problem. The error seemed to pop up when I was opening various windows, I don't recall specifics, though I haven't seen it in the oast few days. I'll clean out the drivers. Thanks again. |
