XP Reloaded on the way?

I read in the forum a week or 2 ago that Media Player 10 was out in Beta. I had heeard awhile back that WMP 10 was going to be included in the release of XP Reloaded. Any news on when Reloaded is going to be released? Could the beta of WMP 10 mean that it might be soon?

XP "reloaded" just appears to be mainly wishfull or hopeful rumors. Alaron was saying that if "reloaded" was a serious thing, we would be hearing more about it.

True, think how far out Longhorn is and we're already hearing about that.

I don't know that many people that are going to give up XP for Longhorn when it does come out... at least until it can be shown to be just as reliable, stable and efficient.

Although they certainly have enough time to make it so before it gets released.

Just think about what happened with XP. Some jumped on the bandwagon right away; some waited a while. Me? I'm going to wait a while until I have a reason to upgrade to Longorn after it comes out.

Reloaded was just a M$ idea on how to make some more money prior to the release of Longhorn. It would really just be like ME (which really should have been named 98 Third Edition) - something to make some cash before the release of XP.

I look forward to WMP10 as it will not have that goofy bar on the left hand side. That thing is so annoying.

glc- I agree with it being a interim money maker but lets all hope.....no pray.....that it isn't just like ME. That was the worst OS product they ever put out IMO....lol. Maybe it was just me but I never liked it. Aslo isn't SP2 aka "Reloaded" going to be free?

SP1 was free so I'm sure SP2 will be free, but only for people who have a legal copy of XP.

SP2 will be free, regardless. There was a discussion on it a while back, and MS felt it was important enough for it to be available to everyone.
