I noticed this was posted at MS Feb third and I have not seen much on it.

It's been posted before but some benchmarks show actually less performance with Win64. The latest I have seen show a 8% gain over 32-bit systems, mainly b/c of better written drivers.

This is why M$ has released this preview version (available for 360 days if i remember correctly) so that companies see the need and can write 64-bit drivers, which is the key to selling Win64, drivers.

Microsoft letting you try something out first without giving you an earbashing about how great it is, thats a first.

is it only good for 1 year and then you have to purchase it or is it the full version? can't see microsoft giving away a full version of xp.
