Windows 2000 Login Prompt

My friend has a Windows 2000 problem. He started having problems about a week ago and then yesterday he came home and booted up his machine. It as him for his user name and password. He did not setup anything and did not have a user name or password setup. He is unable to get into his system at all. Anyone have any ideas other than reload??

thanks

Thanks for the replys. I also told him to try the admin and no PW, but it still would not allow hiim to log in. I will try the web and see if I can help but if not he will just have to reload.
