Software requires Administrator login to run
I am the admin for a small non-profit organization network.
We just setup a domain on a server and all 7 pc's have XP pro. They have to log into the domain to get on their computer. Some software I have installed for users works fine when I run it (I have admin privledges), but the user who is not an admin, can not run it. Some software even says "requires administrator to run this software". This is just office productivity software like Calendar Creator and MS PictureIT stuff. Nothing really high tech. Is there a workaround for this? I don't want to give all my users Admin privledges. There was one little specialty database that I installed for a user that had the "requires administrator blah blah blah" that I got to run for him by installing it into the C: Documents and Settings\All users folder. But I'd rather not do that with all the software. Any ideas would be appreciated. Thanks, Dwight |

Right click on the exe. Select Run as...
Allow the user to run it as admin, with no need to openly supply your password, nor give admin rights. |
