Win2k & XP LAN passwords
Hi! I've to 2 PC's connected together with a router. One is running Win2k the other XP. When I'm on the Win2k PC I can access the files on the XP computer w/o problems. However, when I'm on the XP computer and try to access files on the Win2k computer, I'm prompted for a user ID and password. Now, this is OK because I just login and then I have access but, I was wondering if anyone knew how to turn this off. It gets annoying. I've tried using the same userID and password on both PC's but, that didn't work. Anything else I can try? Thanks!!

That link is to have Windows automatically log in when it is booted up. Right now my PC running win2K is setup to Auto-login w/o problems. I'm looking for a way to not have to log in when accessing its shared drives from other PC's in my LAN. Anyone have tips?

A little research on the same site as the above mentioned link brings us to this little gem. Did this help?
