there is an entry for emachine feature in the start button/menu.
when i press the start button and several programs are listed to the left with windows programs to the right, the emachine program i want to delete is listed below the run command. i thought searching start menu would get to it but that search finds things other than what i see using the start button. any ideas what folder to search to find all the entrys common to the start buttons menu? thankx, ray. |

when i use force flows idea, i get a list of things, some of which are not in the list i'm having trouble with and some are missing from the list i'm battling so it must be a different place. thankx, anyway.
when i try panama reds idea, and get to the advanced tab, i get the option of displaying or not everything i currently see on the right or left side list when hitting the start button EXCEPT for this darn emachines features box. i was able to turn off a few links that i never use like help and support but the emachine link is still there. when i noticed that drag and drop was enabled, i tried to drag it to the recycle bin but it wouldn't go there. this is just another weird little bug that hurts nobody but it would be nice to erase it if i could find the way. i did run a search for emachine and found about 10 items which are currently residing in the recycle bin until i can be sure that things still work ok. my going into standby time improved dramaticly when i moved those 10 items. thankx, ray. You said it's below the run command? Can you post a pic of what exactly you want deleted.

there is a mention of "system administrative tools", but i've already got that selected not to show.
