Found Good Program To Protect Registry, Optimize Registry and Analyze Bootup

A little while back I asked if there was any way to protect the registry from unwanted installations like from viruses, trojans and spyware. Well today I found just such a program and it is a dandy. Not only will it protect the registry from unwanted installations but it also has a bootlog and startup analyzer and a registry optimizer as well as many things I haven't even got around to yet since I just downloaded it. People could probably learn a hell of a lot about their systems and registry from this program. It's not free but it does give you one month completely free which is enough time to pick up a lot of important details as well as fix up your computer if you have some issues. The program is called "Regrun3" and the version to download is the GOLD version. It can be downloaded and used free for one month from the following web site:

http://www.greatis.com/regrun3.htm

If any of you try it, let me know what you think of it and if you find it useful.

Windows...sheesh!

I personally distrust any software that makes changes to system files for me. This is exactly what those virus and Trojan do. So it seems to me that in order to protect the henhouse from the coyote, we decide to lock the coyote in the henhouse.
Go Linux and stop worrying about virus and Trojans.

Please tell me you're joking around LocoCoyote. Not everyone wants to learn/use Linux, or has the time to learn the OS. Besides the fact that many programs and/or games that people run, will not work on the Linux platform. In the mean time, the man is just letting us know about a program he found, and what it does, so there was really no reason to attack Windows like that. This is kind of disappointing to me considering the help I've seen you give folks in the Alt. OS forum.

Very nice - have you tried it/heard anyone try it before? I'm a bit skeptical when it comes to a program tweeking my registry since it is, afterall, the backbone of my computer .

Thanks,
kram
