SYSINFO from MS Offics Help??

I have been asked to supply the SysInfo applet that comes with Office and dump its report (full) to a text file. I do have MS Office but it is not the professional software. The toolbar has MS Languages and Tool Bar only. Word and excel are in my programs area.

Would someone please explain how to do this.

Thanks
Steve

I imagine that they don't actually want you to supply the applet itself, but just its findings? I'm also guessing that they are referring to the MS Info applet?

In that case, and if you are running Windows 98 or newer, you can use the System Information in your System Tools folder just as well as the one from MS Office [Start/Programs/Accessories/System Tools]. Simply select the option from the menus "Save as Text File" to whichever section you wish to save. SysInfo has an nice help file, so if this isn't enough detail, take a look for more info.

Not sure about the more recent versions of Office, but the older ones used to stick that applet in the C:\Program Files\Common\Microsoft Shared\MS Info.

If that's not what you needed, let us know
