off center desktop photo

I have a new Dell laptop with windows xp. When I want to put one of my photos on the desktop it is always to the left side and never centered. I have tried the " stretch, center, and tile "options but I have had no luck. Any suggestions would be appreciared. Thanks

If you have a photo editer, like adobe or Paint Shop Pro, I would resize the picture to the actaul size of your desktop, that should center it for ya.

Maybe Dell can help...I'm surprised nobody has come up with the answer to your question.
