copy files from terminal server to local
Hi all,
what is the best way to ensure you can copy files from the application server to the local C drive. I had selected the option to connect to local drive but it did not work properly. Thanks |

Are you using terminal server to remotely connect to your office? If you are using broadband or dialup and open terminal server to see another computer, I don't believe there is a way to copy files from there to your local C drive. While you are connected, your computer is basically a "dumb terminal." At least that is how my employer makes it. I guess the reason is you could transfer all the company secrets to your hard drive.

That's a good point. You may not be able to by default for that reason.
thanks for the reply. |

If your network shares a drive that you access from your work PC you could try relaying them from there.
Around here when on terminal server you never actualy connect to the work PC only a server that makes the connection LOOKS like your work PC and give network and exchange access.

I circumvented it by mapping the drive and copying the file from there. The terminal server is an application server with access to the e-mail server and file server.
