Random Reboots
Hello, I started having random reboots yesterday after 3 to 5 min, so I started checking everything I could in the OS with no positive results, so I took everything back to Default settings in the OS, and default in the Bios. I've already checked the memory and everything checked out OK. Any help Please. THKS

What are your temps in your BIOS?
I see from your sig that you have overclocked. But in your post you say you have set everything back to normal. Does that mean you set the CPU back to the stock clock speed? If not, do so, and see if that helps. |

Those are very good temps, so I doubt that would be the cause of the problem.
Have you done a virus scan? If you've done one with your resident scanner, perhaps try with House Call as occasionally it picks up things that your scanner doesn't. |

I ran AVG yesterday, and everything checked out OK, running it as I type now.
Update: Just thought I'd edit this reply, instead of posting new one. Just finished AVG check, everythings OK there. |

What you should be doing is turning off autoreboot on error. That will at least tell you if its a system error or a virus that is telling your computer to reboot.
Go to START > CONTROL PANEL > System > Advanced > Start up and Recovery SETTINGS > UNCHECK automatically restart. How when your computer encounters an error you should see a Blue screen with an error message also known as BSOD (blue screen of death), write down the entire error message and post back here. |

Received the info that I need to take care of the problem. through the event viewer. I have a lot of reading to do on this issue to resolve the problem. Thks for the help fellows. there are a number of events I need to weed out. To narrow things down. Will keep you posted.
