If i am correct your computer came preinstall with windows ??? If so you should of gotten a recovery disk which i am assuming only needs to do is run it and it should be easy to perform ... I know my old ibm computer had that and all i need to do was to run this recovery disk and answer 3 question which it asked and i would say yes to all three ... They were more or less saying that all the information on my computer ( Hard drive ) would be wipe off and it would be reinstall back to factory setting ... If i was you just to be sure call gateway and just ask whether if this is the case with your computer , that to do a reformat it will just require you to run the recovery disk .... Also ask them if they would help in any way , can't hurt
