First I'd say thanks (sarcasticly) to whoever closed the thread so I couldn't reply.....Maybe an accident?

Second my friend is an Insurance firm and is learning computers, as am I in somethings...

all pc's were purchased from Dell and I thought I'd help faster than he might call there tech....

any help on deleting the password protection would be appreciated....( he does have the password and this pc is linked in the firm).......see same thread below.....

Well, I don't know how to deactivate it (I guess you need to delete the password, and then Windows won't ask you for one coz there is none), but what you can do is to download TweakUI and use AutoLogon. That way you don't have to type it in anymore.

Ahh yes, the wonders of not reading things clearly...

Its obvious that I misread your earlier post (about your friend having the password). I am glad to see that RJ has provided you with a good solution.

Once again, I apologize for closing the thread.
Cheers

I too am sorry...I don't mean to bite but, felt alittle outcasted...

I realize there are people trying to jinxs good things and they are hard to tell but, I feel it's up to us to differenciate ourselves.....

I also have been guilty of not thouroghly reading a thread or, not corresponding the appropriate answer....after all this is where we go to seek other opinions.....have a nice day
