Win 2K Update KB835732 Won't Install

I kept getting update flags for the Windows 2000 Update which goes by the moniker KB835732. I would download it, it would ostensibly install ok (including some verbiage to that effect), and two days later I would get another flag to install the same update.

When I try to install it from the Microsoft Update web site, the installation fails.

Anybody know anything about this? I have nothing on my machine that the latest Norton AntiVirus, Spybot, and Adaware can detect, yet no luck on the update installation (which was ranked as "critical").

does it show up in control panel add remove programs? you may need to shut norton off to install.i dont use it but have heard it someti;me interfers, maybe someone else will know or have a better idea.
