Closing laptop lid...

Hi

Does anybody know how windows knows a laptop has closed its lid? So it turns the screen off?

I'd like to find out so I can get it to perform a "Lock Workstation" whenever I close it

Cheers

Jim

It usually depends on the laptop's software for power management. With my Toshiba I can set it to perform a STR on laptop lid close only on battery power
