new build just loaded up

i've just put all new software on my comp and i seem to have a problem. my anti virus prog won't run. when i click on it nothing happens. Also when i press ctrl alt del to seem my system resouces it comes up then a second later it dissapers.
also my internet connection is always uploading stuff yet i'm not doing anything??? any suggestions
also i have this ai overclocking thing from Asus my mobo manufacturer and everytime i load the comp it comes up and sez system needs a restart??? whats up with this machine

Go to http://housecall.trendmicro.com/ and do an online virus scan. It sounds like you have been infected with something.

I think major threat like a virus/trojan has attack your pc. I suggest just installing XP again(clean install), then install just the drivers with the mobo. The rest of the application put on hold, update the latest patches, get Lavasoft adware & Spybot S & D 1.3. Run those. Run your AV program. Then you may install the application that came with the mobo, just install what you need. You don't have to install all. Mostly its junk anyway.
