Need Expert Advice

I have a user that has a laptop with Win2000 Pro installed. This user does not like this computer becasue he wants a new one. We can not get him a new one because of $$$ issue. I am at this time reinstalling the OS becasue he complains all of the time about this computer. This computer has problems all of the time & I am pretty sure the user is doing it intentailly becasue he is trying to mess this computer up (I think) so he will get another one. Is there any way for me as administrator to audit what this user does. He has USER only permissions but somehow he does this to mess it up so it will not boot & delete system files & things of that nature. If anyone can think of a way for me to keep track of this user to tell if he is deleting stuff intentially please let me know. Thanks

I think what you are after is called a "keylogger" There are several available althought I have never used one. Here's the results of my google search.

make sure, though, that if u are using a keylogger, u dont have pest patrol installed. it will detect a keylogger and the user will get suspicious. and im not sure if a key logger will work.

wantabe2 Have you set him up as a restricted user ? that should keep him from deleteing system files.

Maybe in Administration tools - security policy you may be able to set up some type of audit, or policy. just a thought
