Question Compaq XMS device driver

My problem is found here
The text in quotes are from the site above.
"MS-DOS Upgrade Setup does not recognize the Compaq extended memory services (XMS) device driver (EXMEM.EXE). As a result, Setup adds a device command for HIMEM.SYS to the end of your CONFIG.SYS file. When the second XMS driver loads, you receive the following error message:
ERROR: An Extended Memory Manager is already installed."

But I don't understand how it says to fix it.
"To work around this problem, edit your CONFIG.SYS file with MS-DOS Editor and remove the device command for one of the XMS managers."

I don't know what to use to edit it, if at all posible. Someone please guide me through this.

Win2k and XP really don't use the config.sys file. Which Operating System are you using??

Are you having some sort problem with something? The exmem.exe and XMS drivers are ALL DOS related.

Type "sysedit" into your run menu and a config.sys window (along with three others) will open up, ready for you to edit them. Just remove the HIMEM.SYS line at the end of your config.sys.
