Question New Egg XP Pro Deal- Will it work on New Build?

I am currently planning my new build and I have found this good deal for OS on New Egg.

I am a student incase your wondering.

Will it work on new builds seeing as we dont have a current software to upgrade from?

you just have to have an eariler versions install disk, at some point during installation it will ask for it and you just have to put in the windows 95/98/2000/nt disk and it will check it then ask you too put the xp disk back in and you are good to go.

Keep in mind this offer is for college students with a valid student id #. At the time of checkout you will have to furnish the id # and the school name.

Be aware that a bogus copy of Windows 98, ME, or 2K may create problems in activation. The old key may become part of the new key.

College is not a requirement, any student/school should be eligible.

I must have missed the place where it said one was required.
