INF file txtsetup.sif missing/corrupt solution

I am adding MS XP to my pc for the first time. It is a newly built pc with no os on it. I went and bougth a new XP setup disk and when i put it in the dvd drive it begins to load and boot it but then i get this message:
INF File txtsetup.sif is corrupt or missing, status 2."
Anyone have a solution for this? perhaps i should try updating my bios on my motherboard? or do i need to make a change in my boot setup?

The Txtsetup.sif File

"The Txtsetup.sif file contains information that is used for device detection and installation during text-mode Setup. If this file does not have an entry for a device, that device is not installed during the text-mode Setup portion of a Windows installation."

Is this a full install cd? Can ya swap the dvd for a plain jane cd rom drive?

i have found 90% of xp setup problams are down to bad ram it may be a good idea to test your ram with mem test from http://www.memtest86.com/
or doc memory from http://www.simmtester.com/page/products/doc/docinfo.asp if it passes then check all ide cables are tight and all the jumpers are set corectley
