registry issues with XP
is there a way to install an already registered version of XP on a brand new HDD without re-registering the program?
i've read that you could only install xp and register XP once, is that true? any feedback would be greatly appreciated |

Registration isn't the issue. Activation is the issue. XP must be activated within 30 days of install or it quits working. It can only be activated on one PC at a time.

There isnt a need to bypass activation. WPA is not designed to prevent users from recovering their systems on a HDD crash or on upgrades; all you need to do is try the automatic activation, if it doesnt work you will be giving a toll free # to call Microsoft from where activation is about 30 seconds away.
This forum does not allow information on bypassing product activation. |
