show desktop icon in taskbar gone

i deleted my show desktop icon that was in my taskbar on the lefthand side. how do i get it back?

It doesn't look like it. That's the text that is contained in that file in the first place. Probably the only easier way is to get that file from somebody else.

OH You wanted the easy way

In days gone by (before xp) you could:

Create a new short cut to C:\Windows\System\Show Desk top

Can drag it to the quick launch bar if you'd like.
