XP Internet Freeze
i have recently reinstalled XP Home on a good spec machine. All drivers were installed correctly and all hardware detected successfully. However when attempting to connrct to the internet using dialup the machine freezes, it could take 5 or 10 attempts to connect to the internet.Any ideas.

If Windows auto detected the modem you might try reinstalling with the cd that came with the modem.
