Using Xp and a dual boot with Win98 SE. Like an idiot while using XP I opened Outhouse Express and checked mail. I never use it as Yahoo is my choice of flavors for mail. I opened a few mails from senders I didn't know - no attachments btw. Norton and AVG didn't say anything was bogus and suddenly XP went bonkers. I shutdown and at bootup I select XP and the screen goes blank. Win98 does ok. Gotta be something in the mails but don't know what...

Can you boot to Safe mode? Try running Adaware/Spybot and your AV from Safe and see if it gets you running again. If so, then download and run Hijack This! and see whats running.
