Why you should have 2 OS installed

I am sure that most relatively experienced people on the forum know about the advantages of having 2 operating system installed, but in case some of you do not, I will tell you why I think its a good idea.

Let's say you have a big harddrive with at least 2 partitions like C, D, etc.
If you install only one Operating System like WIndows XP, it can stop working for some reason such as a virus, crash, messing with it, installing bad software.

What do you do then? you cannot access your windows you cannot access files, internet nothing.

If you have a second operating system installed it will WORK! It doesn't have to be another system. It can be an indentical windows XP installed from the same CD as long as its on the same computer.

That way whenever you start a computer it asks you which of the 2 systems you want to boot.

You can go to the second system if one doesn't work, try to fix the first one, or save files, or post questions how to fix the first one on PCMech.
