Welcome to PCMech, onlinetech
![]() Are you saying that you saved another file with the same name that replaced it? If that's the case, there's no chance, unfortunately. The data has been overwritten.

Welcome to PCMech. I've lucked into finding back a document by opening the temp files that Word creates in your document folder. If you're lucky, it will have part of the document name in it, like ~$ng List.doc. Sometimes they're just numbered temp files, like ~WRL0525.tmp, so you just have to hit or miss. To see the temps, you'll have to navigate to the actual folder, or make sure you change the File Type to All when you use the Open command in Word. Good Luck!
