Win xp pro cd got scratched...
Hey guys i was i about to install windows when my lite on dvd drive started
makin weird noises, so i quickly popped open the drive and took the cd out. sadly the cd got pretty badly scratched... is there a way i can get a new installation disk without paying for a new one like downloading it off the microsoft website or sumthin?. |

Call MS and explain to them what happened. From what I've heard they are pretty good about this kind of thing, and will send you a new disc. There may be a small charge for shipping and/or media, I can't remember at the moment.

go buy CD buffer and fix it.. or buy CD doctor---if the cd got scratches on the reading surface, doesn't damaged the data on the CD...
