File system convertions
I was thinking of converting to NTFS, but will this hurt anything? Will I still be able to boot after doing this? Also, does the command to convert go like this?
In run:- convert c:fs:ntfs TIA...

From the Windows help files:
To convert a volume to NTFS from the command prompt Open Command Prompt. In the command prompt window, type convert drive_letter: /fs:ntfs For example, typing convert C: /fs:ntfs would format drive C: with the ntfs format. Notes To open command prompt, click Start, point to All Programs, point to Accessories, and then click Command Prompt. You can convert FAT or FAT32 volumes to NTFS with this command. *** This is a major change with the potential of destroying your data. BACKUP important stuff first.....That being said, I've done it many times without problems. |

Cool, thanks a lot Ezy Stvy.
When you say format, do you mean actually formatting my drive like completely wiping it clean or just changing the file system itself? |

Ok got that.
Is NTFS more stable and faster than FAT32? Just wondering because I got my XP system formatted with FAT32. |

It's more stable and more efficient than FAT32
