I deleted the My Documents folder, can I get it back ?

I dont' know why I did this, but for some reason I deleted the My
Documents folder. Maybe because it was like 2 am and thought it would be easier than trying to edit the folder, just make a new one....well, I can't make a new My Documents folder. Can someone tell me how to undelete it ?

I am using Windows Millenium Edition

Try doing a search for "My Documents" chances are you only removed the link from the desktop.

Ok, I found the icon, in the TEMP folder and put it back onto the Desktop, but now when I double click it, it tells me I am trying to open a file of type MyDocs Drop Target. If you want to open the file click Open With... ?? Now what ??

Fixed, I had to make a new My Documents folder and the drag it into C:Windows/Desktop, and it asked me if I would to create an item that pointed to the folder. But it still doesn't show up on the left when I am selecting a location for a download.

---------------------------------------------------------------------

Edit: That didn't work, the foler kept dissapperring everytime I used a full screen application, but I found the right way to fix it.

Start/Settings/Control Panel/Folder Options/View, then check the box that reads..."Show My Documents on the Desktop."

Good job. The My Documents folder has become a integrated part of the Win OS with the advent of Synch'ing of files across platforms. It is very rare that a user will actually lose or delete the file only misdirect or snuff the icon unintentionally.
