It is a OEM Win ME disk. I'm the original owner of the Dell, and I don't remember a recovery disc as such. Not one like I had with my other PCs. I've a Dell resorce disk with assorted things on it. Not much though. I made a boot disk (ME) from Boot disk.com. Tried to fdisk the drive but don't know exactly how to do it. Tried to delete the partition and create a new one, but it didn't work or something. I didn't get an OEM version ME disk with the PC, it came from a friend. But, I bought the PC with ME on it so I feel I have the right to use the one he gave me.

You don't even need a bootdisk - you can boot with the CD.
Any reason in particular you want to fdisk? You should be able to simply reformat and install ME fresh. If you are using someone else's CD, legally you must use your CD key from the sticker on the case. |
