I use my own photos for the desktop and two things are happening here. First, I use Roxio Easy Creator 7 and some how a few pictures I was working with appeared in the desktop picture list and I can’t delete them.
I know how to add pictures to the desktop inventory…but how in the heck does one delete some of these? Right clicking on a pic while in Control Panel-Display-Desktop only brings up “what’s this?” Second, this Roxio software is giving me fits too, when working with photos it freezes or hangs most of the time. Have sent an e-mail to their support. Tom |

You have to delete it manually I believe. The wallpaper files are located in: C:\WINDOWS\Web\Wallpaper
You can open the folder by typing the above ^ line in the Run program. Once there you can manually delete the picture files like you would any other file. Hope I could help.

Hi Zac,
Thanks for your reply. Tried your method but the only pictures that appeared were the standard XP Wallpaper pics. But it did get me thinkin' that might be a path way to these offending pics that are now in the desktop inventory. Will try to find the full list in "Search." Tom |

Hello HPP,
Thanks for your reply. Those pics do appear in My Pictures but also showed up in the Wallpaper list. Thing is, I want to keep them in My Pictures, not Desktop list. What I need to do is delete from the latter. Tom |
